San Francisco United Methodist Mission

San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
It is also one of the most active business centers of the nation.
However, beneath its beauty and wealth,
lies a harsh reality - poverty, violence, alienation and homelessness.
So many are lonely and lost, seeking warmth,
acceptance, support and guidance.

As part of the Golden Gate District of the United
Methodist Church, SUMM is here to mobilize
the physical and spiritual resources
of the United Methodist community in San Francisco
to impact the life of the City.

We Advocate for the Homeless
Development of affordable housing

We Advocate for the Youth
Development of citywide youth ministry program

We Celebrate Together
Affirming our gift of diversity and nurturing our unity
