The Tabernacle Community Development Corporation (TCDC) is dedicated to the health, safety, and vibrancy of under served communities through enhanced residential, economic, education and social service solutions. A California chartered, public benefit nonprofit corporation, TCDC was founded through the collaboration of leading local ministers in San Francisco. Individually concerned with the issues and needs found in many urban centers, TCDC emerged by leveraging resources and partnerships to stimulate substantive change and to ensure community growth and vitality. Empowering. The TCDC will strive to improve partnerships with financial institutions and commercial businesses. Will increase the understanding of financial concepts. Will promote self-sufficiency through the building of comprehensive service strategies for low-income residents. Will strengthen the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) relationships in our communities. Building. The TCDC fostered affordable living solutions for extremely low-income through moderate-income families (25%-120% of median). The corporation will enhance entrepreneurship opportunities and promote business incubator programs while increasing the small business opportunities. Healing. The Tabernacle Community Development Corporation will be dedicated to increasing academic achievement among community youth via the support of targeted private, charter (public/private), and public learning institutions; will strengthen working families and enhanced senior support systems through safe housing, independent living, and comprehensive ancillary services. The TCDC also grew out of the collaboration of the Lenten Tabernacle who is an Interdenominational Group of Churches whose purpose is promoting Fellowship within the communities of the San Francisco Area.
